Hi there, I believe teaching is a way to continue learning while increasing students knowledge. On the other hand, tutoring is a combination of teaching and guidance. As a tutor, I guide students to help them improve their grades and provide the motivation and eagerness to learn a subject.

I have a bachelor's degree in Biology and a master's degree in Biological and Physical Sciences. I am an Adjunct Professor of Biology at Essex County College. I took many courses in Biomedical Sciences as part of a master's degree curriculum. More than five years of exposure to the Biomedical Sciences between undergrad and graduate school makes me an excellent, knowledgeable tutor who will work at your pace and will help you achieve the scores you want to become a successful student in the sciences. I can teach all levels of Biology, as well as Anatomy & Physiology I & II. We will start by making a study plan on the concepts you have problems with, and then, we will tackle them one by one with the help of color graphics, practicing questions and explanations. I also provide cheat sheets to help you memorize and understand the concepts.

I am also a Spanish tutor. I am a native Spanish speaker with a superlative command of the Spanish language. I have previously worked translating documents at work and as an oral translator between my coworkers and Spanish people. I also teach Medical Spanish. I will help you learn Spanish, the culture, literature, history and, of course, grammar, conversation, and intonation to high standards. I teach all levels of Spanish to students of all ages. We will work on a study plan suited to your needs, practice lots of questions and the use of Spanish words in a correct context. I will give you homework which is going to be evaluated and explained to you in the next session.

I also teach ESL lessons. I have been working as an ESL instructor for the past year. I use certified ESL grammar books and intro level English novels.

I tailor my tutoring sessions based on individual student needs and learning styles. My goal is to build confidence in your capability through the support and encouragement I plan to provide you. I believe that making learning fun is an important part of helping my students to develop an ongoing passion for learning.

I offer group lessons for a different and affordable rate per hour.

I am happy to travel up to 10 miles from Harrison, NJ. I require a minimum of 1.5 hours for Spanish and 2 hours for the sciences. I am flexible with time, and I do have a 24-hour cancellation policy.

Understanding and patient

We had our first session today and she reviewed the nervous system with me along with other topics that I didn't understand before. I felt like I learned a lot in this one session that I have already booked more sessions. She's patient and breaks everything down step by step. Definitely a great tutor.
