About Robert

Are looking for a chance to become better at the skills you desire and have fun doing it? Then choose me as your tutor!

I have been a teacher for nine years and have gained a great rapport with the students and faculty. I have coached football over the past nine years and have successfully gained the respect of my players, their parents, and the organizations that I have coached for. I have shown an immense dedication towards the improvement of each student and the class as a whole.

I am a goal-oriented individual who loves to instill that positive attitude in my students. I greatly enjoy seeing the progress of the students while keeping their hopes high for even further development. I have held many leadership positions in which I have had to train others and make very important decisions for the company and their clients. Through my educational, life and work experiences, I have shown a great ability to research and present information efficiently.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Baseball

I played baseball my whole school aged years while playing numerous positions. I have volunteered as a youth baseball coach and have created training programs for players to get stronger and faster. I have a great passion for the history of the game.

Basketball

I have years of coaching both boys and girls basketball. I have been an assistant high school coach that helped lead the team to the state playoffs and a tournament championship. I have also coached middle school boys basketball for a recreation team. I also played middle school basketball.

Bodybuilding

For two years, I was the head strength and conditioning coach while coaching high school football. I also worked with athletes from other sports then and now. I use many different methods such as volume training, HIIT, 5x5 training, and many old school bodybuilding techniques such as pyramiding and drop sets to name a few. I was lifter of the year for two years straight at my high school.

Criminal Justice

Criminal Justice was my major in college. I have experience working in a law firm, and was an intern at a public defender's office where I taught other interns the legal system and interviewed those in need of legal representation. As a teacher, I taught Criminal Justice for a few years and was an advisor to the Mock Trial team.

Football

I coached football for nine years, both on the middle school and high school levels. During that time, I was a head and assistant coach. I have been a part of coaching staffs that have made it to the state playoffs. I have directly coached the defensive player of the year according to one newspaper, three full scholarship players, and three top 100 players in the state voted on by other coaches. I also played in high school, while winning a state title.

Social Studies

I was a Social Studies teacher for the past nine years. I have taught numerous subjects in the field including: Criminal Justice/Economics/Sociology/US History I/II/ELL/World History. I have written curriculum for Economics/Personal Financial Literacy and Sociology. I have taught interns from a college the proper techniques on how to educate students on the many topics in Social Studies.
