Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

With grammar, I use various tools to engage students in this subject. I provide my students with my own screencast videos so they can listen to a grammar lecture while doing their practice work. This tool enables students to study grammar and prepare for their next lesson.

As a teacher of writing, I believe that I have qualifications to tutor writing. I am certified as a Level 1, 2, 3, 4 Reader and a Level 3 Senior Reader for Academic Merit.
