Richard Stockton College of New Jersey
Greeting Students and Parents,
My name is Diamond and I am an Art History graduate from the Richard Stockton College of NJ. I also have a minor in studio and fine art to include, drawing, painting, photography, and basketry. I have a rich personal background in NJ folk art and American folk art. I am a recipient of the NJ Sate Council on the Arts Award for Folk Art. I am patient and love to interact with students bringing art alive. Some of my best work has been with students and seeing new students to photography or any studio art evolve right in front of them.
I hope to take you on an interactive journey through the subject(s) you need help with or just fill in the gaps. Long term or short term I am committed to working with each student to achieve their goals. In the past I have worked in museums setting up programming for art enrichment after-school and summer programs. In using this experience I have worked with middle school through college level students.
I am energetic, kind, and I listen well. My teaching method is two fold, I like to listen to parents and students and see where the stumbling blocks are then come up with a custom teaching agenda to work through those barriers and get to the point of the subject. I am a hands-on teacher that uses not only the book, but personal experience, and real life examples to make art come off the paper. My paintings, drawings, photography, and basketry are all award winning. Art and the appreciation for art has been in my family for generations. I look forward to hearing from you and starting you on a path to success. I know we can do it together. Thank you. Greeting Students and Parents,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
A graduate from the Richard Stockton College of NJ I received my BA in Art History. I am well versed in all eras of Art through the Ages. I am well educated in the global history of art from the beginning of time to the present. I have served as guest curator for regional museums and have received many awards for my personal portfolio. I like to make art come alive for all students.
