I have worked with children on various levels for the past 8 years. I am comfortable working with children of all ages. I have experience and interest in special needs. I work full time with adults with autism I have been a theater instructor in the past. I recently graduated college with a degree in psychology. I have extreme patience and understanding of children's needs. I am very willing to do what it takes to make sure people understand. I am very entertaining and believe this will add a special quality to the tutoring experience.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am familiar with children with many different special needs. I am a patient individual who is sensitive to a child's individual needs and goals. I helped my brother with homework for many years and he has an ADHD/PDD/NOS diagnosis.
I have extensive experience working with children and adults of all ages on the Spectrum. I currently work as an ABA instructor for young children with autism. I have a knack for being extremely empathetic to a child's needs and getting results no one else can.
I have a love of the English language and extensive experience with writing through law school level. I am creative, fun and willing to adapt to any student's style.
I am very competent at using the computer. I am able to teach any one to use basic features of the computer. One thing which I am especially good at is web searches. I will be able to teach people how to perform effective web searches in order to more likely achieve desired results. I am familiar with Windows, Mac, and Linux, for any one who needs to use any of those three operating systems.
I was a psych major in college and as such have taken a wide variety of psych courses. I also have extensive experience with Applied Behavior Analysis- both practical and in its implementation.
I have been playing on a softball team for 5 years. I have played on many different recreational teams. I also played when I was younger from 1st-8th grade.
I have worked with several children with various special needs and have interned with adults with special needs. I believe that all people can learn and therefore, I am extremely patient and understanding of individual needs. I have experience with Asperger's, PDD-NOS, autism, and ADHD. My brother is diagnosed with ADHD, therefore I am well versed in helping individuals with this disorder, since I've been helping him with his homework for years!
I am a very good at getting students motivated and interested in studying. I know many tricks for studying involving fluency and word associations. I have a real desire to see students succeed and therefore believe I can help them study and organize to be able to study.
I studied theater in college. I have experience with memorization and many games for the theater. In the past, I have worked with children's theater for children ages 5-15. I also have experience in stage craft.
