Education and art are two elements in my life that I am extremely passionate about. I have been an artist my entire life which led me to pursue a second career in education. Being able to teach students the skills and abilities to create meaningful art truly makes being an art educator one of the most rewarding jobs one can have.
I studied both fine art and graphic design at Syracuse University, where I majored in Advertising Design. After graduating from college, I worked as a freelance designer in both New York City as well as New Jersey before moving back to Monmouth County. I am currently a part time art teacher, and a freelance artist/designer in Monmouth County New Jersey. This past May I graduated from Monmouth University with my Certificate of Eligibility in k-12 Art Education and I have also received my Certificate of Eligibility in Teaching Students with Disabilities. I currently work for a private art student which instructs students in both fine art as well as digital art. I have also worked at the High School level providing portfolio design classes for students wishing to better their artistic skills and portfolios for college. In addition to my background in education and my previous teaching experience, I am an active member in my artistic community in order to create art and generate new ideas for student projects. My goal is to provide students with the skills and abilities necessary to achieve success as young artists. Education and art are two elements in my life that I am extremely passionate about. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
