“**Knowledgeable & Patient Tutor**”

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a teacher! I used to pretend to teach my stuffed animals when I was younger and eventually graduated to teaching actual students. I am currently attending the College of New Jersey in Ewing with a degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education and Administration.

I believe that

Kristen taught me new ways to do hard concepts and I left feeling more comfortable with the chapter than I did before.

Kristen is amazing. My daughter had ONE lesson with her and understood this subject better than she has understood it since school started 5 weeks ago. She is patient, dependable and kind. My daughter is looking forward to working with her on a long term basis to help her prepare for the Math portion of the SAT as well as the bumps along the way, she is having in school with pre-calculus. She is wonderful!

Kristen gives my daughter the confidence she needs to tackle the SATs. She is very patient and sweet. My daughter loves her!

We hired Kristen to help our 8th grade son with his Algebra I studies. She was very responsive and got back to us almost immediately. She was VERY flexible in her scheduling and was able to make time for his first lesson within 24hrs of us requesting time. My son loved working with her and felt that she really broke down the lessons in manageable chunks and spent more time focusing working together vs. lecturing. We will be seeing her on a weekly basis going forward.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I've tutored someone with Asperger's in Math before. The student was struggling with completing homework and applying the math to real life scenarios. It is important to find things that interest the student and apply it to the math that is being worked on. I've also taken college classes on how to adapt lessons to students with various different abilities/disabilities.
