“**Great tutor**”

I have recently graduated from a four year institution with my Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics. I am currently pursuing my education degree. As of now, I work at a community college as a Math Learning Assistant/ Tutor, as well as

Matthew is approved to conduct lessons through Wyzant Online. Wyzant Online allows students and tutors to work remotely via video, audio, and collaborative whiteboard tools. For more information about how online tutoring works, check out Wyzant Online.

Always ready to answer my questions and very pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend him to other students!!

Matt did a great job reinforcing material with my son and to build greater confidence as he prepared for his mid-term.

Matthew was easy to get in touch with, responded quickly to all our questions. This was especially helpful since it was our first time using WyzAnt. He was on time and made efficient use of the very little time my daughter had to prep for her exam. He covered a wealth of information and was easy to understand. She found his lesson very helpful.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1 is the introduction course freshman year of high school.

I have covered many topics such as radicals, quadratic functions, solving with the quadratic formula, and many more concepts. The concepts from middle school algebra build to the algebra 1 freshman class for high school.

I have tutored students in the truth tables, probability, sets, and many other forms of logic at my local community college. Some devices I use help the students prepare for there exams. For example, I made a flowchart to breakdown truth table values for students to memorize to organize the logic in a concise format. This helped students become more confident with truth tables for their logic class. This logic class I taught myself just by looking and practicing problems in the textbook. A college math class with no numbers and mostly words is a challenge, but logic and math are correlated into one another.

I have tutored Linear Algebra as community college Math Tutor for the last year and half. For example, I covered the topics of matrices, vectors, and concepts with Calculus that are used in this course. This course focuses looking at 3D space using matrix operation to solve the problems.

I taught Statistics to myself using a textbook from my old community college. I work with topics such as frequency tables, histograms, probability, confidence intervals, normal and t distribution, and many other topics. Statistics is all about understanding the logical perspectives which is important to this course.
