I graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's in Elementary Education. I recently received my special education certification. I am a Second Grade Instructional Assistant in the East Brunswick School District. I used to be a substitute teacher in the Monroe Township and Matawan Aberdeen Regional School Districts. I have experience with all elementary school grade levels. I did my apprenticeship teaching in a kindergarten classroom in the Matawan Aberdeen Regional School District. In addition, I completed a long-term leave replacement fourth grade in-class support teaching position in the Asbury Park School District. I completed a long-term kindergarten paraprofessional teaching position in the Matawan Aberdeen Regional School District. I am a patient, caring, and responsible person who has a passion for working with students. I can implement individualized and one on one instruction very effectively. I make sure to design engaging lessons that utilize all the skills and abilities of my students. I look forward to working with your child.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As an instructional assistant and certified general education and Special Education teacher I have experience walking with children with ADHD. I have worked one on one with a Second grade boy with ADHD. I know how to implement strategies that will help the student to focus and remain control of their bodies.
I can tutor all elementary subjects for students that are in kindergarten to fifth grade. I am a certified NJ elementary school and Special Education teacher.
I will be able to teach proper grammatical principles to Elementary age students. I will ensure that these principles are implemented in the student's writing.
I completed my Apprenticeship teaching in a Kindergarten Classroom and taught many lesson on phonics. Some examples are I implemented activities using beginning,middle, and ending sounds. I also taught many lessons on blending, word families, and chunking. During Substitute Teaching and Field Experiences, I have implementing many phonics lessons throughout all Elementary Grade Levels. I am available to tutor all phonics related topics such as sounds, blending, and spelling patterns. I will be sure to develop a student's phonemic awareness. I will make sure to improve the students knowledge and skills regarding phonics.
I am a certified special education teacher. I am an Instructional Assistant in the East Brunswick School District. I work with a child that has ADHD and children that need extra attention in academic subjects such as reading and writing. I have taught summer school and substitute taught in a classroom with children with special needs.
I will be able to improve the students' vocabulary. I will teach the students different strategies to define words. In addition, I will encourage them to use these concepts in their writing.
