In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am a college math professor at Middlesex County College and Mercer County Community College. I have tutored more than 50 Algebra 1 students. I cannot tell you how many times students have said to me, "Why didn't they show me this in school?" My lessons are scheduled to be an hour, but frequently are longer if I don't have a student immediately after (no extra charge for additional time). I am always reachable by phone, text or email and encourage students to call me if they have questions (no charge for calls, texts or emails). Once I was on vacation with my wife in Las Vegas and a student called me. I sat down and spoke to the student for 1/2 an hour, teaching him. My wife left and spent $200 while I was talking. No good deed goes unpunished - lol.

I am a college math professor at Middlesex County College and Mercer County Community College. I have tutored many Algebra 2 students. Many students have difficulties with Algebra 2 because they had difficulties with Algebra 1. When I teach Algebra 2 I review the parts of Algebra 1 that are pertinent to what they are covering in Algebra 2 and arithmetic; for example if a student has difficulties adding fractions in arithmetic he is going to have difficulty in adding algebraic fractions. My lessons are scheduled to be an hour, but frequently are longer if I don't have a student immediately after (no extra charge for additional time). I am always reachable by phone, text or email and encourage students to call me if they have questions (no charge for calls, texts or emails).

My Masters Degree is an MS in Operations Research. I have taught courses in Discrete Mathematics at Middlesex County College and Mercer County Community College. I worked as a programmer and systems analyst for more than 30 years; programming involves sophisticated work with algorithms.

I teach mathematics At Mercer County Community College end at Middlesex County College. I've taught numerous students who attended all of the local high schools in this area.

I am a college math professor at Middlesex County College and Mercer County Community College. I have taught trigonometry at both schools. In high school, many teacher force students to memorize formulas and angle values when it is possible to replace blind memory with understanding and quick derivation. Of all the math courses taught in high school, trigonometry seems to be the one that high school teachers have the most difficult time teaching.
