About Benjamin

Hello!

I have a Ph.D. in chemistry from Columbia University, and I love to teach. I have been tutoring for over 15 years, and I have a passion for it. I love disseminating information to students in a unique and personalized way.

I started out taking advance placement courses in high school including biology, Calculus BC, American history, and European history. I received perfect scores on all exams. During high school, I tutored my fellow classmates and students at other schools. I even taught my entire physics class! I got an 800 on the SAT math section and an 800 on SAT II Math IIC.

I then took courses at Duke University in math and science as an aspiring biomedical and electrical engineering major. I took a turn towards chemistry, and I kept going with it. I taught General Chemistry I, II, and laboratory at Columbia University and have tutored Organic Chemistry I, II, physical chemistry, and other math and science courses for elementary, middle, high school, and college.

I have also been playing piano for 20 years as a hobby and have been teaching piano to all ages of people for over 10 years. I look forward to teaching you math, science, and general knowledge!

Best,

Ben

Patient, knowledgeable, and of good work ethic

No matter how competent and great a tutor is, he/she cannot reach perfection without the willingness of working the way out to the best for the student’s interest and the willingness of improving constantly. On the other hand, it is an opportunity for the tutor if the student is willing to give him/her time to explore the best way together. As a parent, I have faith that Benjamin is a tutor who
