In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I will provide you with a customized program based on your French level and goals.
1. Beginning students will be introduced to the foundations of the French language, with a focus on linguistic structures and verb tenses. The two skills that will be emphasized are speaking and listening. The content of the course will reflect a communicative-language teaching approach. This method encourages students to communicate and carry a meaningful conversation. The language will be studied and introduced within a sociocultural context.
2. Intermediate and advanced students will have appropriately customized courses that will significantly enhance their level of understanding, speaking, and writing the French language. This course seeks to expand the students’ everyday vocabulary, which gives oral reinforcement of grammatical and linguistic structures studied concurrently or previously.
3. Students will be using personalized materials, according to their level and goals. However, if it is necessary the students can use their own preferred materials.
