I have been teaching for over 11 years, and from experiences in teaching Kindergarten, up to Middle school English Language Learners, my experience has been colorful and diverse. When I first started all those years ago, I thought a 10-year teacher was a veteran. I have come to realize that a good teacher never stops learning. Each year brings new challenges and new generation of students and parents never known before. I am a parent myself, married to my college sweetheart of twelve years, with two beautiful children, ages 1 and 3. I bring a variety of talents to my community that will prove to engage and capture the hearts of your children. I embrace a love for learning, shining our inner lights, and dramatic play. It is my hope to build a strong rapport first, in order to grow and learn progressively. My belief in developing solid relationships with our families comes from my own family. My parents instilled this beauty within us, to talk to each other, every day, no matter what, and never go to sleep angry. Always be curious, and ask questions about your child’s day. Encourage them to ask you questions about your life when you were young, and your own parents. The sharing of oral history helps us to learn and grow, enriching our lives with beauty and purpose beyond compare. I am grateful for a chance to know this new generation of students and families who will help me learn and grow as well! I am looking forward to meeting you and learning more about each and every one of you. We have many gifts and special talents to share, I’m sure! Thank you for your support and devotion to your children! I am here to help!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
