Hello! I'm Iliza, and I'm a filmmaker that specializes mostly in Screenwriting, Script Doctoring, Editing, and Story Development. I have my BFA in Film from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, and am capable in both short-form (short film) and long-form (features, series, etc.) storytelling.

I have always been very passionate about films and filmmaking, and I bring that passion into my teaching. Immediately after graduating, I started tutoring in film and the craft of story; working one-on-one with students on developing their ideas into working screenplays. I take both a theoretical and (mostly) practical approach to my teaching. I like using films that are already personal to my students to demonstrate certain filmmaking methods and ideas that might be new to them. I also enjoy introducing my students to films they might not have otherwise seen that will also help with enriching their learning experience.

I have been writing since I learned how to spell, I have been in love with the art of film since I watched my very first movie, and I look forward to helping shape the next generation of movie-makers.
