I am a chemistry teacher in south jersey, I specialize in fundamentals of chemistry. I have taught for seven years and have an intense love of teaching and helping students understand complicated subjects. I do not work during the summer, so my schedule becomes much freer after June 20th, but I am always open to scheduling sessions.
I continue to improve my practice in the classroom, but I also like to help students on the side, because I know how difficult physics and chemistry are. I know that videos online can help sometimes, but also you need someone to be able to try your ideas out on and who can give immediate feedback.
I am a professional educator, so I take your time seriously. I always accept constructive feedback on the quality of my lessons because I know that every learner is different.
I majored in chemistry with a minor in physics in college and then received my masters of science in teaching from Rowan University.
If you are struggling with chemistry or need help on certain concepts that are just tough to master, contact me to schedule an appointment. As a teacher, I have many resources and practice examples to help from basic chemistry to advanced topics. He was able to help my son quickly catch up on his lab and quiz work. Thomas made scheduling quick and easy. They covered a lot of coursework in an hour. After only a couple sessions I received a call from my son's teacher regarding the progress made. I highly recommend Thomas for chemistry.
I have been working with Thomas for a few weeks now on college physics. Thomas has been great helping me work through homework problems and explaining difficult concepts. He provides a lot of helpful tidbits of information, examples, etc. and will explain things until you understand them and feel comfortable with the material. I would definitely recommend Thomas as a tutor!
Taught my daughter for the last few months. He is very good, knowledgeable and a great teacher.
My daughter met with Tom for assistance prior to a honors chemistry exam. Tom was available to assist her on very short notice. After meeting with Tom for two hours, she was able master the concepts that she was struggling with. Spending the time was extremely beneficial!
Thomas is an excellent teacher. Makes chemistry easy to understand since he communicates the complex concepts clearly. He provides summaries of the lessons that are incredibly helpful.
I learned how to conceptually understand problems and approach them in a more organized way to where I can choose the right formula and proceed correctly and with confidence.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a high school chemistry teacher. Use of algebra is required in my course, so I often find myself tutoring my students on concepts of algebraic manipulations as well as graphical analysis.
My minor in physics included credit hours in astrophysics, radio astronomy, and cosmology. I continue a study in astronomy as an adviser for an academic astronomy club at my high school.
I have a bachelor's degree in chemistry and have been teaching chemistry at the high school level for six years.
Physical science and physics are tied together in their material along with a deep understanding of chemistry as well as earth sciences. I have credit hours in earth sciences as well as a minor in physics and a major in chemistry.
I have a minor in physics and use physical principals in the teaching of chemistry. As well, I have continuing experience tutoring students in physics at my school.
