I am Jinkyeung Robert M. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lehigh University with a dual degree in Finance and Information Systems. After college, I entered into the corporate financial insurance industry and the private equity sector.
I have a passion for learning as well as a passion to teach. While I may not have direct tutoring experience, I have mentored a number of associates and created multiple lesson plans throughout my professional career. As a teacher / tutor, I have two core concepts. First, learning should be both challenging and exciting. I incorporate analogies, anecdotes, and stories into my teaching to keep the student engaged and help present the information in a relatable and digestible manner. Secondly, tutoring must be a back and forth dialogue between the student and the tutor. Teachers / tutors cannot always expect students to understand a concept after the first lesson. Instead, learning is the very process of students asking questions and tutors providing clarification.
In high school, I missed zero questions for the math portion of the SAT and received above a 700 for my Math SAT 2 subject test. In college, I continued my math education by taking three additional advanced level math courses which included hyperbolic functions, techniques of integration, and theorems.
My goal as a tutor is to help the student learn and achieve their goal! I am always open to feedback and suggestions to better my teaching experience. Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson.
