I am a Kindergarten teacher and have been tutoring students at the elementary level for over 7 years. I have a Master's degree in Reading and Literacy as well as a Special Education Certification. As an Elementary Teacher, I teach all subjects: reading, math, spelling, phonics, science and social studies. I am trained in Project Read, Wilson Fundations, and SRA- supplemental phonics programs. I am familiar with a variety of assessment tools to use during the tutoring process. I enjoy working with students and watching them grow during the process!

Krystle is on time, professional, warm and very knowledgeable. She is working with my daughter on letter and number recognition and writing. I am certain we will make progress under her tutelage.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am the inclusion teacher at my district where I teach kindergarten. Over the past five years, I have had several students with Autism in my classroom. I have a special education endorsement. This year I also have 3 students that have been diagnosed with Autism. I am familiar with Autism as well as providing students with accommodations and modifications for learning.
I have been teaching Kindergarten for 6 years and I have been involved in Elementary Education for over 7. My degree is K-6. I hold a Master's degree in Reading and Literacy and also have a background in Special Education.
I am trained in the program Wilson Fundations. This program has a wonderful handwriting component. It is a multisensory, hands-on program that uses picture cues to ignite proper letter formation in the early grades. This program teaches lowercase letters then uppercase letters.
I have been trained in Orton Gillingham, SRA, and Wilson Fundations. I have been teaching Fundations for over 4 years and also incorporate methods from Orton Gillingham into the Fundations program.
