My name is Emily. I have just completed my PhD from Columbia University in Mechanical Engineering. My research focused on machine learning for robotic manipulation and control. I wrote an extensive codebase using clean and modular code organization to implement the ideas in my thesis. I have thousands of hours of Python programming under my belt. I have extensive expertise using Pytorch and Sklearn for machine learning. I am also very fluent in the use of Pandas for processing and cleaning datasets.

I was a TA for two graduate level courses where I mentored dozens of students: "Introduction to Robotics" and "Introduction to Robot Learning". This mentoring ranged from helping students just starting with python to debugging advanced machine learning assignments. I am a patient teacher; I do not get frustrated, and I will take the time to answer your question in multiple ways until we find an explanation that makes sense to you.

I am here to help with any stages in your python programming journey: from getting started learning the basics to helping you debug frustrating errors in a large complex project.
