Seton Hall (Secondary Education)
College of Saint Elizabeth (Master's)
Hello everyone my name is Tony R. I am excited to have the opportunity to help students with their goals so that they can do their best in school. I went to Seton Hall University where I graduated with a degree in secondary education and a major in history. I am currently working to achieve another certificate as a teacher of students with disabilities at the College of Saint Elizabeth. I student taught at West Morris Mendham High School and currently substitute teach there as well. I also have tutored students before with great results. What I really like about the tutoring process, is the one on one aspect where the students can get to understand the teaching process without all of the pressure of school. As a tutor i can get to know a students strengths and weaknesses more effectively without having to multitask with 20 plus students in one classroom.
I have achieved high marks in the history and secondary education program at Seton Hall where they require that you take a content major along with the secondary education major. I was certified with a certificate of eligibility with advanced standing in Social Studies.
I am looking forward to helping out students with their goals and objectives in social studies. Do not hesitate to message me on the WyzAnt email and profile system to set up appointments. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
