My tutoring experience started when I was an ‘A’ biology and chemistry student at County College of Morris and was hired to work at the College’s Science Resource Center as a peer tutor. Subsequently I won the CRC Press Chemistry Achievement Award in recognition of outstanding scholastic achievement in chemistry, graduated from the College with an A.S. in chemistry, and continued my education at Montclair State University, where I earned a B.S. in biochemistry.

Helping students to understand, master, and succeed in chemistry and biology is something that I find personally rewarding, and the accolades that I've received from my students over the past ten years have been highly gratifying. Even the most complex material is presented in a simple, easy-to-understand manner, and I am pleased to offer students my supplemental study materials on a variety of topics to help them succeed. For those high school students planning on taking the AP Chemistry Exam and/or the SAT II Subject Test in Chemistry administered by the College Board, I offer extensive preparation on a very wide breadth of content. In addition, for those of you who are interested in becoming a chemistry teacher in New Jersey, I also offer tutoring in the Chemistry: Content Knowledge Praxis Test (5245) required by the State of New Jersey Department of Education.

Chemistry and biology need not be esoteric, exotic hot-house plants!

AP Chemistry review of material, presented in a clear concise manner that was easily understood. Randall also followed up with my daughter after the lesson to provide her additional information related to an upcoming unit in her class.

Wonderful Teacher

Randall is a wonderful teacher and did a great job teaching my daughter AP Chem. Going forward I will be taking his coaching for my daughter. He is detailed oriented, works on weaknesses and strengths, gives practice problems. I am glad that I selected him!!

Very patient and thoroughly explained the topics.

He helped me understand material that I need to master for my exams. I had to learn about peptides and amino acids and he had a lot of different books with him to use as resources that helped a lot.

Amazing Tutor!

I had a great experience with Randall. He's not only super knowledgeable in the topics I needed help with, but I can tell he's also passionate about chemistry and teaching, which is the main key for successful tutoring. He doesn't waste any time and he will prepare before the session, to make sure you understand the topics, and will also send you organized information on those topics. I will definitely be asking Randall to tutor me again, and I recommend him to everyone.

Initial meeting note

My daughter thinks Randal is great and based on first impressions so do I. We will be scheduling with him going forward and will provide updates as the relationship develops. Patient, clear and knowledgeable. Just what the doctor ordered.

Knowledgeable and patient

My daughter frustrations are gone. She asked "can we keep him?" She understands more from the tutor than her teacher. He took time to explain and made sure my daughter get it before moves on to the next. Thank you Randall.
