Study Skills

To whom it may concern, I used to have trouble learning subject matter for high school and college. I spent long hours developing study skills which helped me do well on examinations. One of these skills was reading the material in question twice. (A third time, if required). In so doing, I was able to understand the subject matter better and thereby, do better on my examinations, not to mention the fact that I learned the material itself. In addition, I learned what time of day was best for study, under what conditions, (Before television or computer etc.). Further, I learned that making the subject matter fun, made it relate to me more and therefore more memorable and understandable. Finding relevant points within the material as it related to my everyday life was a method I used. There are many more, but I graduated from an IVY LEAGUE school with a 3.5 grade average and that was not a mistake. I am in the entertainment industry at the moment and have a lot of free time. I teach acting on the Weekends. Not only do I know how to teach, but I have students that are usually the age group that you have on your list. I also have written published works. Screenplays and television show story boards. I am working on a story board as we speak. I believe I am eminently qualified to teach study skills. Sincerely, Robert S. Lewison
