I have been playing guitar since I was 10 years old and have much professional experience as both a player and a teacher of music. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a B.A. in English from Franklin and Marshall College. I have been teaching for over eighteen years altogether. I have been subbing recently but have also taught full time in secondary English. During my years substituting, I have taught elementary school many times, in various subjects and disciplines. I have done Math and Science as well as Language Arts and Social Studies. I am certain that I will be an excellent tutor for Elementary education.
