Hello to all students and their parents. My name is Mr. Z. I have been a teacher, a special needs teacher, and a tutor in the Newark Public School System for the past thirteen years. I have also helped troubled families living near my home in Butler, New Jersey. Many of my students are ESL, ADHD and children with learning disabilities of all kinds. I let them know that everyone has an individual learning style, and that they must learn to work with their abilities, not their disabilities.
I am a published author and I excel at helping children to read and write... and if anyone wants to learn public speaking, I am the best. I work well with elementary math for students from kindergarten to eighth grade. History is fun, not torture, as are most courses of study.
I want people to understand how they can best process information. I also work hard on their life skills. I give each student individualized help and learning methods in order for them to retain and work well with their lessons.
I have also worked four years at Youth Consultation Services where I tutored foster children and after school students in a special needs environment.
My degrees include a B.A. in Language Arts and a Learning Disabilities Teaching Degree.
I look forward to working with you,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have worked for thirteen years with autistic children in the Newark Public School System. I am blessed in having students feel very comfortable with me. Autistic students need a level of comfort and a person who will work safely and thoroughly with them. I hope I can be that person for you or your child.
I have been fortunate to be a k-8 public school teacher for thirteen years in the Newark Public School System. My students have always had their own way of learning, and I try very hard to understand their learning style and to work with it. I love teaching and tutoring, and I am a qualified special needs teacher. I think we can have a lot of fun together so that we can exceed your greatest goals.
I have taught students public speaking for thirteen years in Newark. As a published author, I am a public speaker. I work in front of crowds in book stores and in public situations so that I can advertise and help sell my books. The experience has helped teach me how to help others. I look forward to guiding you to success at public speaking.
I am presently and have been a special needs teacher for thirteen years in the Newark Public School System. I love the work. I get to know my students and find their abilities. When students understand that they are capable of achieving greatness, they become great. This way of thinking has always worked for me and my students. I am very fortunate to be working at a job that I love. I hope that I can get to know you or your child so that we can find the key to your future.
