Ever since second grade, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. My second grade teacher was so kind and gave special attention to each of her students. I knew then that it was my life path to become an inspiring and quality educator, just like her. I worked towards reaching my goal by achieving my Bachelor of Arts degree and Master's. I am a certified Elementary School Teacher (K-5) and Teacher of Students with Disabilities. I have been teaching middle school special education for eight years now. I have taught replacement classes for social studies, math and English and have co-taught science, social studies, English, and math in grades 6-8. I also have experience doing individualized reading instruction in 1st grade, have taught 2nd grade math and have tutored for five years.
I myself am a lifelong learner and thoroughly enjoy helping students to reach their potential. I am extremely dedicated, determined, hardworking and motivated. I enjoy challenges and am full of ideas and strategies to help students learn. Tutoring provides an amazing one-on-one direct teaching opportunity for students to get individualized instruction and attention so their needs can best be met.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
