I went to school for computer engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, changed my major to chemical engineering and transferred to the University of Delaware where I completed my degree. I started a business with a friend of mine, which I ran successfully for about 12 years. I then changed my career and became a teacher. I currently teach high school level math, chemistry and physics at a private school. I love to teach and help people understand challenging material. I find that visuals are very effective in conveying difficult concepts and have acquired many in my years of teaching.

Eric is calm and helpful by explaining things in a format I understand the concepts. He is the best tutor to work with.
Eric takes the time to make sure that the many concepts, and problem solving steps, in precalculus are understood by our son.
Eric reviewed probabilities, z-score and other equations with me in Statistics. He helped me to understand the material better and showed me how to utilize my TI-84 calculator.
First session was very productive. Eric is a true professional who knows his stuff! Will have me up to speed on my project sooner than expected!
Mr. O was excellent in tutoring my son in Algebra II and Chemistry summer school courses. He explained some concepts by relating them to every day life in a way my son could understand and then solve the questions. I would highly recommend Mr. O and WyzAnt Tutoring.
Eric is going a great job reviewing General Chemistry with my daughter. We are very happy with the progress she is making.
Eric is very patient and instills confidence in my son that he can do it. It is only the second lesson, and already I see my son's confidence improving. According to my son, Eric breaks the subject down so that it is easier to grasp and remember. He helps my son discern and focus on the most important concepts and what he should be getting out of each section. Eric has been flexible with teaching both Chemistry and Algebra II, whichever my son needs for the week. I highly recommend Eric for tutoring.
Eric has helped my high school student master areas of geometry that were giving her trouble. He is prompt, professional and has a low key tutoring style that builds confidence in geometry.
Eric has been excellent. He goes over all the work that I send to him prior to my lesson and is prepared when we meet. He even downloaded the book that our professor is using for our Statistics class. Thanks for your patience Eric.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
