Cumberland county college (History and Music)
I am a student at Rutgers University in Camden, NJ. I am currently enrolled in a dual degree program, studying towards both my BA and my MA in American History. Additionally, I have two Associate Degrees from Cumberland County College: one in History and one in Music. My focuses musically were the guitar and percussion. As a future historian, writing and grammar are an important part of my experience. I am willing and able to tutor in the following subjects: American History (US 1&2), European History (Western Civ 1 &2), Music History and Theory, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Percussion, English (1&2), Writing, and French. References are available upon request.
My long term goal is to complete my BA and MA within the next three years, and then find employment as an Adjunct Professor at a Community College. Then, after a few years of experience, I'll go and complete my PhD. After that, I plan on being a full Professor. Being a life-long student, I feel that I have learned how to be a student very well. I would like to share that knowledge with those who need it. I feel that I am in a good position to help people out, while at the same time, gain some experience that can be applied to my future career goals.

The best way to help a student gain proficiency in a subject is to analyze the subject in such a way that the student can understand and comprehend the subject in their own words. Once this has been accomplished, the student will possess the knowledge, and have the capability to use it in any application. I am a student at Rutgers University in Camden, NJ. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
