I'm a mechanical engineering student who has always done well with math. I've found over time from helping friends with math that I am good at breaking it down and making it simpler and easier to understand. I am currently taking Pre Calc, so algebra and trig based math is what I deal with most now, but I would also be comfortable tutoring geometry or basic math as well.

After a few sessions with Edward my son is feeling a lot more confident in class and has a better understanding of his homework and algebra in general. Edward is very patient and understanding. He responds quickly when emailed and is available at different times during the day which is nice. My son has some special needs and Edward made him feel comfortable and relaxed. He has a way of teaching that my son is able to absorb and retain the information. I would refer him to anyone who is in need of some extra help with math.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
