I am currently an inclusion special education teacher in an urban district helping students access the current curriculum. I work with students in grades K-5 in mostly Language Arts and Math. I have a BA in Psychology and Elementary Education and a Masters in Special Education.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I currently work as an inclusion special education teacher in a district. In previous positions I have worked 1:1 with students with were diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. Currently, I am working with two students in my district who have been recently diagnosed; one with ADHD with specific focus on hyperactivity and impulsivity and the other with ADHD involving inattentiveness.
I have certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities, as well as my Master's in Special Education. I've worked at a special needs school in a multiple disabilities classroom, as well as an autistic classroom. I was a 1:1 aide for a student on the spectrum. I have experience in the documentation required to track behaviors.
I have my Elementary Education certification (k-5). I am currently working as a resource room teacher for grades K-4. I have previous experience tutoring through Huntington Learning Center in multiple grade levels.
I am certified in k-5 elementary and special education and currently teach math for grades 1-4.
