Rider University (History)
My passion for both English and History have been with me for years. During my time attending Rider University I focused my studies towards these two fields, achieving a Bachelor of Arts in History with minors in English and Political Science. While a student there I earned placement on the National Dean's List.
After completing my undergraduate program, I studied education for middle and high school and now carry teaching certifications in New Jersey for both English and History. I have taught at the middle school level for regular classes and tutored in both an after-school program setting and one-on-one. Some of the most rewarding times in teaching is finding just the right way to convey an elusive bit of content that can connect with a learner. That spark, that "ah-ha!" moment immediately makes the time worthwhile for both the student and myself.
A quality environment for learning is always important. I encourage prospective students to choose an appropriate atmosphere in which to study, such as a residence, library, or other location that allows for concentration on learning away from distractions. Parents and guardians are always welcome to join in my sessions as well. Learning and the expression of the ideas can be a collective experience.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. I am certified to teach English at the secondary level by the State of New Jersey. Prior to taking additional English-related courses, I completed my undergraduate career at Rider University with a minor in English.
I completed my Bachelor of Arts from Rider University having majored in History. As part of their program, I studied many aspects of Europe, from its mainstream political and military events of the 1900s, to its literature and artistic expressions covering many centuries and corners of the continent.
Aside from taking courses in World History during university, I taught pre-modern World History covering the Americas and Africa.
