I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere
in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites sharing of ideas.
There are three components that I believe are conducive to establishing such an environment, 1. Being a guide to my students, 2. Allowing the natural curiosity of the child to direct his/her learning, and 3. Promote respect for all things and all people. I believe setting high standards for students is important way to get students to rise to their potential. This allows the students to use what they have learned later on in life.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
