Ramapo College (Graphic Design)
I am a recent graduate from Ramapo College with a Bachelor's in graphic design. Before that I got my associates degree from Bergen Community College. I have tutored a few people in both photoshop, illustrator and digital photography (though I mostly helped with photoshop.) As a person I am laid back and have a pretty good sense of humor. I like to tutor in a friendly environment where both parties can relax and be themselves. As a graphic designer I must know how to speak my mind well which translates well when it comes to teaching.
To be honest I didn't realize how much I liked to tutor people until I responded to an anonymous ad for a tutor. During sessions we had fun and he told me that he was learning a lot. A job that I enjoy and get payed for is a perfect fit. I am a recent graduate from Ramapo College with a Bachelor's in graphic design. I needed the ugly date stamp removed from a very important batch of digital photos. Jonathan walked me through the process on how to zip file the photos to him, and he did them right away. He is quite good with Photoshop, as you cannot tell that the photos were altered. Excellent job! He is professional and even returned my call late at night since I had a deadline. Thank you Jon for such a great job. I highly recommend this tutor!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a degree in graphic design.
I have used illustrator for almost every project I have made.
I have been working for about 8 years with the software.
In the past, I have been able to help people solve problems and learn things in software I have never used before. I have a good way with problem solving that enables me to teach even as I myself learn.
I have taken College classes for Adobe InDesign, and I have had to use it for just about everything print related in school. I have some experience tutoring beginners to learn the software and I have even shown some of my peers a thing or two. One of my first jobs in college involved using InDesign to create posters and ads for the school's theater. I have been using the program for at least 8 years, and I have a Bachelor's in graphic design.
I have worked with photoshop since 2005. While in school I took some classes specifically tailored to photoshop, and I was even mentoring a hand full of classmates. I have experience in not only tutoring photoshop but also Illustrator as well.
