Hi! My name is Frank S., and I’m here to drink coffee and make you strong. If you’re reading this far it’s because you’re in trouble in math or science, maybe both, but I’ve got you. Hi! My name is Frank S., and I’m here to drink coffee and make you strong. If you’re reading this far it’s because you’re in trouble in math or science, maybe both, but I’ve got you. I’m licensed to teach literally every science in New Jersey, and I’ve spent the last fifteen years doing it in some wonderful communities: Bayonne, Glen Ridge, Newark, and Belleville. You don’t have to be afraid. I’ve seen a thing or two. Math and science are not terrible monsters to be feared— instead, they’re the sharp swords that the world’s top minds use AGAINST the terrible monsters. Math and science put mankind on the moon; they gave life and hope to AIDS patients and cancer patients; they treated unsafe water and built skyscrapers and bridges. They healed the ozone layer, explained the motions of the planets, saved the whales, and gave you the iPhone; and now they fight climate change and CoVID and malaria. They’re swords, I tell you, weapons against ignorance and disease--and I will teach you to wield them.

Because humans are amazing, and you need to get in on this. Think about it. Silicon computer chips are just rocks, man. You’re reading this on a glowing rectangle of metal, plastic, and glass made possible by the fact that science HARNESSED LIGHTNING and used it to teach a SLICE OF ROCK how to THINK. You’re a human. You’re gonna master this math and science stuff and I’m going to help.

I’ve taken a sequence of university math classes up to and including differential equations, so I’m quite comfortable with everything up to and including multi variable calculus. I’ve also got an MBA in finance and corporate strategy, so business maths and data analysis are pretty easy for me too at this point. You can’t be any kind of physics or chemistry teacher without really knowing how to use math well, after all, and after fifteen years I’ve gotten pretty good at sussing out exactly where kids go wrong in their calculations. I focus a lot on the how of math, rather than the why, so that you can build some confid

Knows his stuff when it comes to physics

Really cares and wanted me to grasp material. If I had questions he’d make sure that were answered and that it all made sense to me. If you’re trying to understand a physics concept I would highly recommend.

Awesome tutor-patient and thorough

Frank is such a great tutor. He really takes the time to explain everything very well. I was really struggling with the concepts of physics and he made sure that I knew what I was doing so that we could add onto that. He is so great and I would highly recommend him.

Very effective teaching approach for a frustrating subject

Frank has been an excellent tutor so far. I have not had trouble understanding the concepts of Physics II, but when I am faced with the math problems for the class I struggle to know where to begin. Frank is patient and thorough, and makes a subject that causes me great anxiety way more approachable. His humor and great personality is a bonus! Highly recommend.
