My educational background includes earning a Bachelor's of Science in Health/PE, and a Masters in Education with a Specialization in Teacher of Students with Disabilities. I have also earned an Elementary Education Certification. My teaching experience includes 3 years as a Kindergarten Teacher; 1 year as a Basic Skills/Health and PE Teacher and 9 years as a Special Education Teacher. I currently teach Special Education to to At-Risk High School students. I've tutored 5 elementary education students (K-3rd grade) and Italian to 2 students. I speak, read and write Italian fluently. I have also taught Religious Education for 5 years and coached Soccer and Basketball. I would be pleased to provide clients a legitimate background check and my teaching credentials.

Celeste is working on reading and spelling with my son. What I like most about Celeste is that she has the knowledge and experience working with disabled student .
Celeste has been coming to teach my 6 year old Italian. She is fun, patient, and very knowledgeable. He looks forward to his sessions with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone young or old!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a competent educator who believes that learning is a lifetime endevor. I have taught 5 years of Elementary Education in Pleasantville, NJ and have recently obtained my Masters in Special Education. I teach high school special education in Pittsgrove Twp. NJ.
I come from a family of Educators and am an Educator myself. I believe myself to be a proficient public speaker as I have taught either Language Arts, Basic Skills and Health/PE for a total of 9 years. I also have experience coaching of Soccer and Basketball in my town. I am a teacher Religious Education and organized, then led the local Seton Singles in my town. I feel quite confident as a public speaker and hope my qualifications to assist in a speaking engagement are sufficient.
I am a certfied Elementary and Special Education Teacher. My experience includes working as a substitue teacher for three years at the Atlantic County Special Services School, as a one-on-one aide to an autistic student, a 3rd and 4th grade maternity leave special education teacher and a high school special education teacher (2009-present). I also have tutored two special education students in my home. My teaching methods are proactive and patient.
As a special needs teacher I have to make sure my students are focused and physically attentive to me prior to an effective learning experience. The learning strategies I employ to get students focused revolve around being prepared with materials regularly. I have experience guiding high school students with proper study habits, such as timing, for test such as the ACCUPLACER or the GED.
