In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been using AutoCAD in the Civil Engineering workplace since 1986. I am also an AutoLISP programmer. I am a very high end user, as I have always been passionate about AutoCAD. I have over 10 years experience in the workplace, and have worked as a consultant, and have also written custom AutoCAD applications using AutoLISP, VB and an MS Access database.
I worked primarily as a CAD Manager as well as a design draftsman. I designed and implemented CAD standards in 1987, before most companies knew what standards were.
I have a very deep understanding of both AutoCAD and it's applications in a real world environment.
I am self taught in MS Access. I am an applications developer and have created a number of Websites that read/write to an Access DB. I have written a customer application for a Tour Operator as well and a POS system using a SQL back end.
I had a programming background before learning Access. I am somewhere between an intermediate and advanced Access programmer. My strengths are database and application design. I believe I am a fine teacher, as I love the product (Access) and find it just plain fun to use.
I believe I can get this across to other programmers. People who are just learning Access are sometimes intimidated, but I can show people that it is both a fun and creative endeavor.
