About David

I am a doctoral student in my final year of a PhD in classical archaeology at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, with a conferral date (degree in hand) at the end of 2015. My specialty is in ceramics from Minoan Crete, and I have three years' experience as a member of staff at the ongoing excavation of Priniatikos Pyrgos, which will see publication of my materials in the next few years. This time also saw me in the role of assisting with the care and education of visiting field school students. In my general skill set, for two years I was a writing coach in the employ of my undergraduate, Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont, where I was also inducted as a member of the national honor society Phi Beta Kappa. This posting saw me assist in the genesis, drafting, and editing of academic papers and projects across a range of subjects and disciplines, as well as instruction in grammatical principles and critical thought.

I am a member of the national honor societies Delta Epsilon Sigma and Phi Beta Kappa. I graduated second in my class in high school, in which I was enrolled and excelled in both AP European History and AP Calculus. Further, I was accelerated through my Middle and High School math curricula, wherein I was the top of my class in the subjects of Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Pre-Calculus. In my undergraduate education, I was enrolled in several courses on world religions, specifically Hinduism, Judaism, and early and modern Christianity. Education within my degrees has best prepared me for tutoring in the relevant subjects of ancient Greek and Roman history, Greek and Roman drama (comedy and tragedy), Greek philosophy, Greek and Roman mythology, Aegean prehistory, Minoan art and architecture, and reception studies of the ancient world in today's literature and media.
