I have been an electrical engineer for over 20 years. I use algebra, calculus and trig in my day to day work. I have taken all of the college level calculus courses as well as differential equations, linear math and statistics. I design power conversion equipment for Nasa, the military and aerospace companies. I have tutored each of my 4 daughters in high school math. I presently tutor a learning disabled child in algebra. I have been blessed with a mind for math and I am compelled to share that blessing. I am happy to be able to help others to learn that math is actually fun.
I tend to demonstrate examples, whenever possible, with real world situations. I believe that a good measure of practical application is necessary to bolster the mechanics of the math. Oftentimes the reason for the math is not evident so that a supporting problem will help to learn the subject. I am a fan of word problems and believe they can be easily mastered and fun too.
I look forward to helping you overcome your difficulties with math. My business allows me to work from home so that my hours are very flexible. I can tutor here at the library in Warner or remotely if necessary,
