Do you hate learning about grammar? Do you think the word WHOM is too fancy to understand? Do you choose not to bother proofreading your work beyond hitting spell check at the end of a big essay? I have strategies and lessons that will improve your communication both written and oral.
I have been a high school English Teacher for ten years. During the summer months, I have spent the last four years working with students who need extra help in writing and reading. Outside of teaching, I love playing sports, especially basketball, going to the beach (when there isn't snow on the ground), and hanging out with my Siberian husky, black lab, and fiance.
I am an expert in the English language. I am confident and energetic. There is nothing more gratifying than the moment a person is able to grasp a concept or succeed on a task that he/she has struggled with for some time.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
