My name is Elias M. I am currently living in a small coastal town in Spain called Altea. For the past two years I have been teaching math and physics A-Level (British equivalent of APs) courses at Elian's British School La Nucia. I have experience teaching a wide range of subjects from basic algebra and middle school science to differential equations and multivariable calculus. I hold two bachelors degrees in math and in physics from the University of Georgia. I am currently working towards completing a masters degree in computer engineering and advanced mathematics. While I was studying at the University of Georgia, I worked with a quantum computation research group where I studied the intricacies of the controversial (at the time) D-Wave quantum computer. In addition, I have participated in biochemical and bioinformatical research as consultant and eventually as the computer programmer. The study was presented at a FEBS conference in France. I'm extremely passionate about math and science in general. As a teacher I focus on trying to present things using logic and intuition versus teaching a list of rules. I'm very geometrically minded so I draw a lot of pictures!!!
I have a degree in mathematics as well as over a year of graduate level math education. I have also taught a wide range of math classes ranging from algebra 1 to complex analysis and multivariable calculus.
I have a degree in physics as well as extensive experience doing research in the field of quantum computation and electrodynamics. I have also taught a wide range of physics classes ranging from high school physics to mathematical methods in physics, and quantum mechanics.
I am a dual citizen of Spain and the United States. I speak Spanish fluently and have completed graduate work at a Spanish language university.
I am very passionate about science and math. I spend my free time reading mathematics and physics journals. I have spent many years trying to figure out the best ways to motivate students to see the same importance in math that I s
