I am a retired naval officer with expertise in math subjects, physics and engineering at all levels. I have a B.S and M.S. in mechanical engineering, and I have over ten years of experience instructing young adults in technical subjects, professional engineers in nuclear physics and heat transfer, and taught high school science and math as I home schooled my three children. I continue to teach new engineers how mechanical, electrical and nuclear systems function aboard submarines, making their learning experience interesting and interactive. I have taught or tutored in algebra I & II, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus and calculus-based physics.
I can find many ways of explaining difficult concepts such that students walk away not memorizing, but understanding their material. I utilize many teaching techniques-oral, written or exercise based-to find the method that suits the student's need the most. I will connect with your student to make their time efficient, fun and am enjoyable learning experience!
I'm available starting at three o'clock, most evenings and some weekends by appointment. Feel free to contact me to get started!
