I've been tutoring students of all ages and ability levels since I was in high school. I graduated from Roger Williams University with a BS in Secondary Education and Mathematics with a minor in psychology. I'm in my second year as a high school math teacher in Maine, where I primarily teach algebra but have additional responsibilities that support all high school math subjects.

Teaching has always been my number one passion and I love to see students get excited when they finally understand what they have been working so hard on. I am flexible and available for the entire summer, and afternoons and weekends during the school year.

With a degree in mathematics, I am qualified to tutor all high school math, Common Core math, Calculus, and advanced levels of algebra.

I am so excited to get started tutoring you or your child! I am ready to get started as soon as you're ready to learn and excel. Contact me to schedule lessons and get started!

Common Core

As a high school math teacher in Maine, I have spent a significant number of hours working with and teaching the Common Core Math curriculum to students of all abilities and interest levels. Last year, I spent a good portion of professional time developing a revamped curriculum of the Common Core 9 Math that would better connect with students who struggle to engage with math. I have also spent almost 50 hours tutoring students taking Common Core Math classes, so I've been exposed to a wide assortment of teaching and assessment styles on the subjects. Additionally, my BS in Secondary Education and Mathematics make me exceptionally qualified to teach any of the Common Core Math grade levels.

Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I am currently an Algebra 1/ Common Core 9 Math teacher at a high school in Maine. I worked this past year to develop a curriculum for students that encompasses all of the required material for CC9 in a way that is engaging and accessible to students. I will be teaching the same class again this year and will have an even stronger handle on exactly the material students need to know to succeed. Additionally, I passed all of the Praxis exams (Praxis 1, 2, and the Principles of Learning and Teaching) with a score well above average and am prepared and excited to share my love of math with students of all levels of interests and abilities!
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

As a recent graduate from Roger Williams University with a dual major in Secondary Education and Mathematics, I have the necessary knowledge and experience necessary to support student learning and development. I completed my student teaching with a teacher who taught Algebra 2, Calculus, and AP Calculus, so my experiences range from basic to advanced math and required me to pull knowledge from all of my mathematics backgrounds. Additionally, I passed the Praxis II exam with a score well above average and am prepared and excited to share my love of math with students of all levels of interests and abilities!
SAT Math,

SAT Math

When I took the SATs, I earned an overall score of 2000 (on the 2400 test) and a 750 on the math section alone. I've spent the past year tutoring students in preparation for the new SAT, so I have a strong understanding of the changes that have been made and the new format of the test questions. Additionally I am a certified teacher, and teach Algebra 1/ Common Core 9 Math at a high school in Maine, so I'm acutely aware of the way students learn and the foundational skills they need to succeed.
