I believe students of all ages learn best by applying theory to practice. We all learn by doing, and we all learn in different ways. Matching each learner's style to the best approach is an important key to success.

Learning should also be fun and enjoyable, and not a dreaded chore. I believe in making learning a fun, interactive journey, and not just a destination.

Communication skills are crucial in today's world. Being able to speak and write clearly and concisely is essential in our society. Writers write to convey information. It is the job of the writer to make sure their message is received accurately. I have taught English and communications skills to all ages, from children to adults.

Reading, to me, is a joy! We learn about the world and ourselves by reading all types of genres. Reading lets us travel to new places, different times, solve mysteries, and learn new ideas and information. Not only have I taught reading, but I have also been the Battle of the Books program coordinator for for both the elementary and middle school levels.

I am a lifelong learner! I am also a certified, experienced, teacher. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Geneseo, and received my MEd from Cambridge College. I have taught all grade levels and a variety of subjects, ranging from the traditional subjects to computers, first aid, fitness, and swimming. I am also an experienced ESOL teacher.

If you are looking for someone to help you improve your ability to learn and grow, which may improve your grades, please contact me for more information. I am looking forward to helping you develop your potential.
