About Kimberly

My name is Kim and I am currently working as an elementary general music teacher. I have my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. I absolutely love teaching music. I love seeing the kids smile when they are enjoying what they are learning and witnessing their growth.

I have been playing flute for over 16 years and have been giving lessons over the past eight years. I have done both beginner and intermediate lessons.

I am always looking for feedback as I hold myself to a high standard. I never bill for a lesson in which the student or parent is not completely satisfied with my tutoring. I try and be as flexible as I can and am currently only asking for a 2 hour cancellation notice.

I am willing to travel up to 30 minutes to meet and ask that my students have a quiet place for their lessons. I also ask that students provide a music stand as well.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Flute

I have been playing flute for about 14 years. Flute was my major instrument in college where I played in 4 different ensembles and took private lessons. I have had flute students previously at the beginner/intermediate level.

General Music

I am a certified and licensed elementary music teacher in Massachusetts. I have been teaching elementary general music for over two years. I have a bachelors and masters degree in music education.
