I always put the student's interest first and adapt my explanations and the level of instructions according to the understanding of the particular person in my charge. My real satisfaction is to see that the student improves to the level that he doesn't need me anymore and can continue without my help.

In any case I shall always be available to help him if needed.

French,

French

French is my mother tongue being born in Belgium and is the language I use at home. I have experience tutoring French to high-school students to improve their grades. My interests are in French literature, poetry and present spoken language.
Hebrew

Hebrew

I am an Israeli having lived in Israel from my young age. I speak (and read, write) Hebrew fluently having finished high school, 3 years IDF service, and University (Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa) with a B.Sc and M.Sc. For the next 14 years I worked as engineer in Israel. My wife is a Hebrew teacher and many times I had to help her teaching young kids at the school where she taught. I also helped the school teacher in the synagogue (Beth Israel, Manchester, NH) with teaching and provided also teaching material for the various grades at their new school. I am very familiar with the requirements for Bat/Bar Mitzvah as I read the Torah (in Hebrew) almost every week at the synagogue.

Differential Equations,

Differential Equations

I had one year of differential equations in undergraduate studies at the Technion, Israel Institute of technology. The subjects covered were homogeneous linear and nonlinear differential equations with constant coefficients, and special equations - such as the Ricatti equation. I had to use them in practical example when working on control systems realizations for my M.Sc. thesis. I continued to study differential equations in various courses during my Ph.D. studies in courses of a) network and systems, b) control systems. The topics covered where a) second-order nonhomogeneous differential equation, b) the differential equations used in conjunctions with the Laplace Transforms used in control systems and networks, c) solution of diff. eq. using series, and d) numerical methods for solving diff. eq. in particular in networks systems. This subject covered Euler, Newton and Runge-Kutta methods. Additional subjects we covered in the advanced systems course were the various methods of solution of systems of diff. eq. where we studied nonlinear diff. eq. for testing system stability of almost linear systems. Please bear in mind that these subjects also require knowledge of matrices and determinants, complex numbers and analysis and wave propagation where diff. eq. are heavily used.

Highly Recommended Tutor

Menny met with my high school senior for about six hours to assist with shoring up some weak areas he had in pre-calculus. He was very patient and able to ascertain quickly the problem areas my son had. He was able to explain concepts well and had a kind manner and good rapport with him. He even lent us some books to review some algebraic concepts my son had forgotten. Menny's assistance resulted in my son going from a failing grade to a B on the final and passing the class. We so appreciate the help Menny provided and recommend him highly without reservation.

Wisdom from years of experience

I am somewhat of a tutor "junkie." I don't have the time to take a formal class in math or physics. I have some very pointed, as well as some general questions in math and physics. Some times I just need someone to talk to me "one-on-one" to explain to me, in simple terms, that which I can't understand on my own. Menny fits the bill. He has a vast knowledge base and is able to explain in just enough detail to make it "click." I have a tendency to ask a lot of questions, I am very curious and love the joy of learning a new concept. Menny always says "You can ask me any question that you want." He doesn't get annoyed if I ask the same question over to get clarification. If you have trouble with math, Menny can help. I have used a lot of tutors over the years, Menny is a "find." You won't be disappointed.
