University of Wisconsin-Madison (Elect. Engineering)
My name is Anthony L. I graduated with Honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a second major in Japanese. I also spent a total of two years in Japan as a high school and college student.
As a tutor, I would like to share my experience and expertise in math, electrical engineering, and Japanese to individuals who want to better understand these subjects. I firmly believe that the key to successfully learning any subject is the method of explanation. A great teacher/tutor is someone who explains concepts of any particular subject through the use of examples in order to connect new information to already known information. I believe I can provide ample examples to those who need help understanding various math, electrical engineering, and Japanese subjects.
Since I work full-time, I am available weekdays between 6:00 PM and 10:00 PM, and I have pretty flexible hours on the weekends.

Anthony really helped my daughter in Algebra II. He was very patient and found many ways to help her understand a concept if she didn't understand it the first time. If my daughter had questions he was available through email and would respond within hours. Great teacher and always on time.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2011. I obtained a 3.71/4.00 overall engineering GPA. I currently work as a Systems Engineer at Allegro MicroSystems in NH, where I use my EE degree daily. Therefore, I believe I would be able to tutor basic to intermediate electrical engineering concepts/theory.
