##### About Ben

I research physics and electrical Engineering at CRREL in Hanover, NH. After graduating in Electrical Engineering from MIT in 2004, I did an 18 month post-doc at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Then I came to work at CRREL.

I work everyday in linux and windows, usually doing (scientific) programming in matlab and fortran. I have volunteered at a local middle school teaching Mathcounts for several years, worked in the math tutoring lab in college, was a TA for a couple of classes at MIT, and tutored calculus in High school.

I was named the best high school math student in Utah for 1991. I tutored calculus that year to a few students and formed a math club to help others pass the AP test.

I studied physics in college and use it everyday at work. Especially the electrostatics and electromagnetics. Undergrad physics is more my thing, not astronomy or quantum mechanics.

I lived in Japan for 3 years and my wife is Japanese. I am good at conversation.

I worked with fortran and matlab all the way through college and now I consult for companies who want to work with these languages, especially to convert fortran to matlab.

Looking forward to helping you learn.
