University of New Hampshire (Spanish)
I love to teach Spanish to groups or individuals of any age and any background, and take a student centered approach to teaching, with lesson plans specifically designed around student needs, goals and progress. I also have certification as a Spanish Medical Interpreter and would be happy to work with any interested medical professionals.
In addition to my Medical Interpreter Certification through Ascentria Care Alliance, my background and qualifications include a B.A. in Spanish from UNH, 1 year of living abroad in Spain, and prior teaching of beginner and intermediate level adult Spanish classes out of my home. I also have a TEFL certificate (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), from Boston Language Institute, and taught ESL as a volunteer during 3 consecutive summers at Child Health Services. I've trained, mentored, and taught teens, college students and children from age 3 and up as well, when I was a dietitian and gymnastics coach, so I'm familiar with the learning styles and needs of any age group.
I'm often available during hours beyond those listed in my availability section, but Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the times I'm always available. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to hearing from you.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
