I'm a very outgoing person that tries to standout from everyone else. I like helping people get better at what I'm passionate about. In the past, I've helped out fellow trumpet players in building their skills to compete with others within our sections or to catch up. I never received private instruction because it was far too expensive for me, but I believe I can provide a strong level of instruction for far less than most people would charge.
I've been playing trumpet for 12 years and counting. I have helped beginning trumpet players with playing proficiency and music reading.
I've been playing lacrosse for 7 years and currently play club level lacrosse in college. I primarily assist in face-off and defensive instruction with my club team.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a second generation Vietnamese-American. My parents, older brothers, cousins, and family friends all immigrated from America. I was required to take ESOL throughout elementary school, although I excelled at English and consistently performed better than American born students that only knew English. My experience in learning ESOL has translated over to teaching Vietnamese immigrants the sounds and structures of English. I have successfully taught several people components of the English language which had lead them to become English speakers.
I played three years of varsity lacrosse in high school and have just completed my third year of NCLL lacrosse at Stony Brook University. I have done spot coaching in the past during a summer pick-up league at my local high school with youth players. I play defense and I also assist the face-off specialists on my team. With seven years of experience, I believe I can help improve a player's abilities.
I am currently pursuing a B.A. in psychology. I have taken several courses on the matter including the intro course, cognitive psychology, social psychology, clinical psychology, developmental psychology, and biopsychology. I have also taken a courses which specialize in the research and study of psychology and statistics.

I had a position of leadership in my high school band where I was expected to assist with instruction and guidance. Although I am not in a position of official leadership in my university marching band, I continue to assist in instruction and guidance of my peers.
