I am currently an organic chem professor at a large Massachusetts university and an experienced one-on-one chemistry tutor that has written several book chapters and scientific publications. I love helping students reach their utmost potential in both Organic and General chemistry and have proven teaching methods that have garnered me a teaching award. I will provide additional resources and worksheets to the student that might help them achieve-not just proficiency- but mastery of these topics.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I'm a professor of chemistry at a large university in Massachusetts. My PhD and post-doctoral work focused on synthesis of complicated organic molecules. While in graduate school, I tutored many students privately and, through the chemistry department, won an award for excellence in teaching. After graduation, I worked for several years in as an industrial synthetic organic chemist, before I was asked to return to my alma mater to teach organic I and II.
