Southern New Hampshire University (Graphic Design)
I am passionate about art and design, and believe that mastery of the digital arts, alongside proficiency in contemporary art techniques is the key to the future of modern artists. Over the last four years I have developed and taught digital painting/illustration courses to both beginners and experienced artists alike and feel that an understanding of the digital environment only serves to bolster an artist's skill set. I also thoroughly enjoy teaching graphic design and desktop publishing in conjunction with traditional art.
I am well versed in teaching all common digital publishing platforms used in graphic design; from an artistic standpoint I lend myself to teaching primarily the use of Adobe Photoshop as a digital rendering environment for painting, illustration, interior design, graphic design, and web design. I also teach traditional drawing techniques from foundation level courses to more advanced subjects like the human body and anatomy of movement.
I would love the opportunity to help you and encourage you on your artistic journey.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have used Adobe InDesign as a freelance graphic designer for five years now. It is my primary tool for typesetting and print production across multiple platforms. I also teach foundation courses in Adobe InDesign to freshman students as an Adjunct Professor at the college level. I have been teaching it for 3.5 years and am proficient in all current and recent versions.
I have been a freelance Graphic Designer, as well as an Adjunct Professor in Graphic Design for the last 5 years.
