Welcome to my tutoring page!
I have recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics & Chemistry. I have cultivated a natural interest in mathematics, as I have taken a sequence of university-level mathematics courses before graduating high school and have achieved distinctions in mathematics competitions. I enjoy tutoring in Mathematics and the SAT (I have scored in the 99th percentile nationally on the Writing, Mathematics, and Critical Reading sections of the SAT).
I started tutoring a few of my peers in Algebra I in junior high and continued to tutor other classmates in high school in subjects such as Precalculus, AP Calculus and AP Statistics. I recall when a peer of mine felt that her understanding of the subject material was unclear; I perused through the text being used and condensed the material into a simpler form and conveyed this knowledge to her. She instantly was able to solve other complex problems that I provided her with, and persistently worked her way through the class the entire year.
It brings me joy to see the happiness in a student's eyes when he/she is able to obtain a clearer understanding of the task at hand. These analytical skills, in a broad sense, are what I strive to inculcate in my students, as the overall goal is to obtain a perfect understanding of the material - so the student may conquer any problem, however difficult it may seem.
Thanks for tuning in, and feel free to ask me if you have any further questions.
